The Reviews Are Coming In!

I am humbled by the reviews for my book From Frozen in Hilarious Panic to the Warmth of Divine Love and Gratitude.   There is one which has not been able to post on Amazon or Barnes and Noble as of yet, so I am sharing here with you.

Thank you my dear friend Leo:

We all have a story to tell, and though the fabric of our lives may be woven with common truths, it is through the insertion of our own threads of experience that we create our own unique tapestry.

Isolde Gabrielle Amadeah, in her book “From Frozen in Hilarious Panic to the Warmth of Divine Love and Gratitude”,  has done just that. She tells her own life story in an utterly unique and unconventional manner, making for a intellectually stimulating yet deeply heartfelt reading experience.

Herself a musician, it is not surprising that she should structure her book as a musical composition, with stories recurring and developing like themes in a symphony. The incorporation of her own poetry throughout the book further reflects her love of rhythmic forms. In fact, there is a such a delicate balance between poetry and prosaic reflection, one canʼt help feeling that one is engaged in a literary dance.

This book is a tale of survival. From a traumatic childhood in Europe during WWII through to a long career as a church musician in America, Isolde describes the joys and challenges inherent in remaining true to oneself, especially in times of interpersonal conflict and personal attack. She attributes her ability to conquer PTSD by accepting trials and tribulations with gratitude as a necessary part of oneʼs life journey of growth and discovery.

However, this book is also a spiritual journey, as her reliance on God and on angels for guidance is clearly evident. One thing the reader will undoubtedly glean is the importance of belief in oneself and a reminder that life is, for all its contradictions and difficulties, a profound blessing for which we ought to be grateful.

Updated Edition with Foreword by Br David Steindl-Rast

The hardcover (and soon to be released soft-cover via Ingram’s world wide distribution on Amazon and Barnes & Noble) of “From Frozen In Hilarious Panic to the Warmth of Divine Love and Gratitude” is available at my Blurb bookstore with this new addition of a Foreword by my friend and mentor Brother David Steindl-Rast.

What a most magnificent blessing this is.

The purpose of my post is to thank all of you who have purchased the first edition of my book, the hard cover- which was so important to me; each of your input, your enthusiastic validation and positive comments have been a blessings and of enormous value. The corrections noted- have been made, and now I definitely had to let it go. The treasured Forward by Brother David Steindl Rast arrived too late for the first edition- is now added, and of course Latvia is in the Baltic and not in the Balkan states- the use of ‘where and were’ is sometimes- still- a mystery for me, and the irregularity of the use of ‘ ” is a left handed- no- just kidding- I just have to re program this keyboard action. SO once more to each and everyone of you who have purchased my book so far- may you be rewarded a million times.
